Area Sales Manager

What awaits you:

  • You assume full commercial responsibility for Maschinenfabrik Reinhausen’s engagement in designated international markets or market economies.
  • You understand and navigate the economic complexity of the energy landscape within your area of responsibility to enable informed strategic decisions.
  • You orchestrate and manage sales and distribution channels, including collaboration with resellers and distribution partners, to maximize market penetration and profitability.
  • You secure and expand local and regional customer relationships and business activities through proactive prospecting and networking.
  • You execute regular customer visits to build strong, trust-based relationships.
  • You present technical product information and deliver training sessions for customers, agents, and internal teams.
  • You provide support in preparing quotations and ensure consistent project and quotation tracking through diligent follow-up.
  • You monitor and manage complaints for designated countries to maintain high customer satisfaction.
  • You lead the organization and delivery of customer sales events to strengthen brand presence and customer engagement.
  • You generate regular reports, including visit reports, market and customer insights, and sales forecasts.
  • You maintain close cooperation with MR international sales teams, subsidiaries, and agents to ensure alignment and synergy across global operations.

What you bring to the table:

  • You hold a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical & Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or International Business.
  • You have a minimum of 5 years of sales experience, preferably in the power transmission and distribution sector.
  • You excel at building strong stakeholder relationships, engaging across all corporate levels, and understanding diverse motivations to tailor solutions.
  • You can clearly articulate the unique value proposition of our products and services using value-based sales concepts, addressing customer pain points and delivering measurable economic benefits.
  • You know how to conduct thorough research on prospects before sales calls to understand their company, industry, and background.
  • You are a self-starter with strong motivation, a drive to achieve sales targets, and the ability to work effectively with customers, agents, and colleagues.
  • You demonstrate strong numerical aptitude, accuracy, and integrity.
  • You are able to work independently, adapt to changing priorities, and meet tight deadlines.
  • You are willing to travel frequently, both locally and internationally, and navigate intercultural environments.
  • You possess excellent presentation skills.
  • You have a strong command of written and spoken English; proficiency in Mandarin or an additional language is an advantage.
  • You are proficient in MS Office; knowledge of SAP and Salesforce is a plus.
