Order Processor - Service
What challenges can you expect?
Essential Functions
- Advising transformer repair shops, end customers / operators regarding all technical inquiries relating to the MR product range. Of particular importance is the analysis and coordination of technical requirements for maintenance, repairs, maintenance, and replacement of electromechanical drives, transformer voltage controllers and electronic control and monitoring systems.
- Provide designated end customers / operators with after-sales technical support and troubleshooting.
- Providing support to Project Managers on field activities such as collecting information for bids and quotations, analyzing feasibility for product upgrades or replacements, supporting installation and/or commissioning.
- Compiling, analyzing (technically and commercially) and sending offers and order confirmations for products, components, parts and services for designated end customers / operators.
- Coordinating schedules and monitoring progress during processing / commissioning / field service.
- Assisting with and / or managing internal and intra-divisional projects.
- Making presentations regarding maintenance strategies / technical issues to customers and at conferences.
Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
Physical Demands
This is largely a sedentary role using computer and phone; however, some visits to field will be required. This would require the ability to drive car, walk, climb ladders or scaffolding wearing PPE. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk, see, hear as well as use hands to finger, handle or feel, and reach with hands and arms.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. with a 45 minute lunch with occasional non-scheduled overtime required.
Travel
10-20% travel could be expected for this position. By car or by plane. Domestic and occasionally international.
What do we expect from you?
Required Education and Experience
- Engineering degree or master technician in Electrical, Electromechanical or Electronics area.
- Experience in manufacturing or similar environment.
- Knowledge of control products in electrical transmission industry. Transformer Monitors, Voltage Controllers and Load Tap Changers are preferred.
