What challenges can you expect?
Summary/Objective
Responsible for checking and processing sales orders and offers in an accurate and timely manner prior to scheduling and final production. Responsibilities include reviewing each order for accuracy, supplying required drawings, special design requirements, and reconciling any orders that need to be changed or corrected.
Essential Functions
- Receive and process sales orders and offers on daily basis.
- Check mechanical / electrical applications.
- Create Solid Edge / E3-Zuken drawings as required for customer orders.
- Create shop orders and bill of materials for scheduling and final production.
- Work day-to-day with cross functional departments to problem-solve order or customer issues.
- Contact sales representatives, as needed for clarification or corrections, to keep offers / orders moving toward completion.
- Respond to inquiries via Teams, e-mail or phone from sales managers and sales representatives.
- Work with engineers and/or technicians to coordinate technical aspects of special orders or projects, including research, costing, development work, problem solving, and model designing.
- Request quotes, and lead times for special orders and create sales pricing for any non-standard designs.
- Work on standardization and organizational projects for the improvement of the department and company.

Environment:
This job operates in a professional manufacturing environment. This is largely a sedentary role using use of standard office equipment such as computers, phones, scanners, and filing cabinets. Additionally, this position will require visits to the manufacturing floor where there will be loud noises such as air-powered tools/presses, oil/dirt, and forklift traffic.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:.
This is a Regular full-time position with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
What do we expect from you?
Education
- Certificate or Diploma in Electromechanical Engineering Technology or related field.
Experience
- Technical background in electro-mechanical area of design
- 2D and 3D modeling experience (AutoCAD/Solid Edge/Zuken).
- Ability to work with Microsoft 360 Office programs.
- Preferably 1-2 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Preferably a good grasp of electrical principles and applications
