What challenges can you expect?

Position Responsibilities

  • Ensure WHSE tasks are being delegated as assignments and verify they are completed according to Safety, Quality, and our company standards.
  • Enforce housekeeping / Safety rules / Quality policy daily.
  • Assist the WHSE supervisor with planning and workload assigning, monitoring schedules and daily performance to ensure WHSE workload schedule is met with other departmental task.
  • Provides regular progression reports to the WHSE Supervisor / Logistic Supervisor. This includes performance reviews input or P.I.P development (personal improvement plans).
  • Troubleshoots WHSE / Logistical problems and take preventive and corrective actions.
  • Assist WHSE supervisor with tracking absenteeism and timekeeping per the policy.
  • Engage, train, and document new employees on the job once they have completed initial onboarding with the HR department and in accordance with the yearly training plan.
  • Ability to independently run an entire shift in the absences of the WHSE Supervisors.
  • Perform administrative tasks under the guidance of your supervisor, such as documenting procedures and creating / maintaining guidelines.
  • Assist the supervisor in the hiring of new WHSE / Logistical personnel.
  • Participate in company training seminars / online.
  • Providing staff with technical guidance and assistance.
  • Serving as backup for WHSE Supervisor as needed
  • Ensures effective employee relations. Provides employee coaching and development, and disciplinary action in absence of WHSE Supervisor or Logistic Supervisor in accordance with Human Resources. Resolves employee issues through problem resolution.
  • Writing work instructions as well as production checklists as assigned.
  • Responsible for all other duties as assigned.

Work Environment
This job operates in a manufacturing environment. This role will routinely be exposed to loud noises such as air-powered tools/presses, oil/dirt, and forklift traffic. 

Physical Demands
This position is frequently required to stand, walk, and use hands and arms to handle, feel and/or reach.  Some lifting of parts may be required when necessary; ability to lift a minimum of 35-50 lbs.

Typical Shift Hours of Operations

2nd shift 2:45 p.m. to 11:15 p.m.

Daily and weekend overtime may be required, as needed.

What do we expect from you?

Education/Experience

  • High School diploma and / or associate degree or 3 to 5 year’s manufacturing experience
  • Experience in WHSE stock handling (> 1yr), inventory cycle counting and Receiving environment preferred (> 1yr)
  • Ability to communicate workload requirements or daily duties.
  • Experience with Reinhausen products preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs Excel, Word, Power Point
  • SAP preferred.
