What challenges can you expect?
The Transformer Field Service Technician is responsible for assisting the Transformer Field Service Team in preparing equipment and job sites.
Strategic Tasks:
- Close collaboration with and technical support of the Transformer Field Service Team
- Operates under direction of the Onsite Field Service Supervisor
- Assist in all craft classifications
Administrative Tasks:
- Personal development planning / training to advance knowledge and experience of the Transformer Service field.
- Compilation of periodic reports (i.e. timesheets, expense reports, job information, customer information, KPIs).
- Must be able to lift 30-50 lbs.
What do we expect from you?
Education:
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
Experience:
- Experience in transformer field service in the utility/electrical energy industry a plus
- Experience driving hauling trailers a plus
Additional Skills:
- A business-oriented and entrepreneurial spirit
- A "hands-on" mentality and a good level of assertiveness to get things done
- A high level of motivation and the ability to work independently
- Willingness and ability to travel (min. 85% travel)
- Familiarity to work with the MS Office suite
- A team player mentality
- An ability to withstand exposure to varying environmental conditions at field locations
- Commerical Driver's License with Class A endorsement a plus
