The Order Engineer is responsible for the conversion of the entered customer orders into producible production orders, the clarification of customer-specific special design and the creation/compilation of the customer order and quotation documentation. In particular, he is responsible for the technical correctness of the assembly documents and the reserved parts.


He is responsible for the customer-sales-order fulfillment interface in specific orders and has a deep understanding of the market, product, production and automated configuration process. He supports the BD and sales in market development by providing technical expertise and solutions. And he supports production in issues with order documents including automated generated wiring schematics and software files. He is also a key success factor in the localization (PEP) and launch (BD) of new products, continuous cost optimization, and management of complex and complicated orders and projects. He ensures the accuracy of order documentation, pricing configuration and sales tools.

What challenges can you expect?

  • Analysis of the technical design, the customer specifications and the configuration data in the customer order positions (product-oriented processing / delegation).
  • Transfer and further detailing of the configuration data in the order bill of materials (BOM)
  • Processing and checking of the order BOM, associated work steps and delivery-relevant positions
  • Compilation and modification of the customer offer and order documentation in the ERP/CAD systems (wiring schematics, drawings, instructions).
  • Interpretation, clarification and implementation of customer specifications for offers and orders, taking into account the delivery spectrum. For customer-specific special designs, early clarification of technical feasibility and economic efficiency by initiating the applicable processes
  • Product standardization
  • Processing and coordination of technical customer inquiries and questions from the Sales Teams
  • Application consulting and clarification of the correct product selection.
  • Processing of amendments within the complete process chain. Participate in the maintenance of order processing tools (e.g. SAP configurator, E3/Zuken).
  • Participate in / lead internal and cross-functional projects.

What do we expect from you?

  • Electrical Engineer with appropriate level of experience or other comparable courses of study
