Intern (m/f/d) in our Power Electronics department (focus on LabView software development and Converter Testing) - summer term 2023

What challenges can you expect?

  • You will take responsibility in the preparation of LabView based display/monitoring software for Modular Multilevel Converters (MMC) testing
  • You participate in the converter testing in medium voltage lab
  • You contribute to “data logging” and “test agenda keeping” related to testing activities and daily test observations
  • You prepare specifications and explanations documents for LabView software/programs that have been developed
  • You will need to troubleshoot possible problems and bugs related to communication of created LabView programs with other controllers or equipment, such as PLC, FPGAs, oscilloscope, etc.

What do we expect from you?

  • You are an enrolled Master student of Electrical Engineering (Power Electronics) or a comparable course of study
  • You have very good knowledge on NI/LabView software
  • You have good knowledge on measurement devices and use of oscilloscope
  • You know how to use different communication protocols, e.g.: ModBus and you are eager to learn/use others
  • You tackle complex problems with creativity and analytical thinking
  • You see working together in intercultural teams as a chance to grow personally and drive innovations forward
  • Knowledge on MMC would be a plus
  • Knowledge on testing electrical equipment would be a plus
