Head of Business Development Distribution / Power Grids

What challenges can you expect?
  • You have completed your university degree in electrical engineering, business management with a technical focus or equivalent
  • With several years of experience you have a proven track record in distribution grid planning, distribution grid innovation or in business development in these fields
  • You understand regulatory aspects of the U.S. utility business
  • You are embedded in the U.S. utility world with a strong personal network
  • Ideally, you are part of the U.S. smart grid community
  • You have an engineer’s mindset combined with business acumen – experience with software-driven business models is a bonus
  • You are a proven entrepreneurial self-starter
What do we expect from you?
  • You lead our business development for distribution grids in the U.S. and the respective team
  • In addition, you manage our wider sales support network with representatives, consultants etc.
  • You create awareness and interest for the MR VRDT (Voltage Regulating Distribution Transformer) technology at large utilities with the ambition to turn VRDTs into a standard grid asset
  • In addition, you provide technical consulting with utilities during setup and execution of pilots and conduct/organize VRDT placement studies including cost benefit analyses
  • You interact with regulatory bodies to link technology with incentives, legislation and regulations
  • Moreover, you will interact with bodies of technical standardization (IEEE) and research institutes (Smart Grid Research Center etc.)
  • Furthermore, you integrate MR into U.S. smart grid ecosystem
  • Additionally, you will generate impulses for new product developments for the U.S. market, especially software-based product
